Q: Does my dog need to be up to date on his/her vaccinations?
A: Yes. We require that the dog be up to date on rabies vaccination. There may be special circumstances that will be taken into consideration, and addressed on a case by case basis.
Q: My dog is constantly shedding, what can you do?
A: At Exquisite Touch we offer our De-Shed package, which includes extensive de-shedding. When done once every 4-6 weeks
this treatment can help reduce shedding by up to 80%. Prices for our De-Shed package are based on dog's size and coat.
Q: My dog is matted, what can you do?
A: We want to do what is in the best interest of your baby. We do not want to stress or cause them any pain. We do offer a
dematting service at a rate of $1 per minute, but this is ONLY done if we believe it will not cause extreme discomfort or stress to
your pet. We do NOT dematt seniors or dogs with known illnesses or disabilities. In these cases (and many others) it is best to
shave your baby and start over. Your pet will feel better and so will you knowing they’re comfortable and happy!
If you do not want to pay the dematting charge you may also dematt your pooch prior to our arrival.
Q: What if I need to cancel my appointment?
A: Please notify me of your cancellation at least 24 hours before the day of your appointment so I can fill your slot. Please do this
through text or phone, NOT email. If it is less than 24 hours there will be a $30.00 cancellation fee which must be paid before
your next groom. Emergencies will be taken into consideration.
Q: What if I'm not home?
If you are not home (unless we have made other arrangements) we will wait for 15 minutes after trying to contact you. If we are
unable to contact you and you do not arrive within 15 minutes you will be charged a $30.00 no-show fee per dog. As long as it is
not your first appointment and you are comfortable we can make arrangements for me to access the dog and provide services.
Keep in mind that Exquisite Touch Grooming is licensed and fully insured. Grooming fee will be required before the dog is
groomed.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards, cash or check. All returned checks will be charged
a $30.00 processing fee along with the original balance.
Q: What areas do you service?
A: I service Yulee and Fernandina Beach only.
Q: Why is mobile grooming more expensive than stand alone grooming salons?
A: A lot of people wonder why mobile dog grooming is more expensive that the traditional salons. Truthfully, there are a lot of
reasons. One issue to consider is quantity and travel time. It is not possible for mobile groomers to groom as many dogs in a day
as in a traditional salon. There are no bathers, we do not assembly line the pets, and we have travel time between
appointments. While a traditional salon averages 20+ dogs per day, the average mobile groomer averages between 4-6.
The most obvious reason that mobile grooming is more expensive is that mobile grooming provides a luxury service. As a
groomer I come to your home and provide a service with minimal interruption of your day. The dogs in my care get special
one on one attention and are groomed straight through. I also provide a full spa experience with no additional charges or
upselling while traditional salons charge extra for each individual upgrade (nail buffing, teeth brushing, and premium shampoo).
Mobile grooming provides the best quality spa experience for your pet and less stress for you and your dog....
